Smoother on boarding

The wait time on the way over was poor (over 30min before being served). However driving back, I drove a vehicle with a fault. I was informed it was fully serviced, however part way up the viaduct on Arthur's Pass all the electrics died đł Thankfully this was only for a few seconds, but this could have been longer and incredibly dangerous. I've used transfer car frequently, grateful for the service, and let others know about it. This situation could have become very dangerous very quickly and I encourage you to speak with any operators that faults on cars need to be reassessed as to whether they are appropriate for transfer car. Maybe pass on to A1 Rentals that the windwipers on the car need to be replaced or the cleaner they put on the windscreen changed, vision when it was raining was poor! The car also needs a good deodorising, it stunk and got worse when it was left sitting in the sun or the air conditioning/heater used. Other than that the process was quick and efficient. Maria

I updated my card details and my license details on the website so i donât have to do it on the reception. When i went to pickup the key from reception. They wanted my card and driver license again. I did have my driver license with me so i gave it to them and told them that my debit card details are updated on the website. They said we still need the card and it has to be a credit card. I personally do not have credit card how can I provide the credit card. It wasnât mentioned anywhere when i made the booking that they wouldnât accept the debit card. After spending an half n hour at the reception had to talk to the manager. Then they accepted my debit card and gave me the key. When everything is updated online on the website to avoid delays when picking up the car then they should not be asking the documents again.

I would still love a feature that you could offer or ask something different if a deal doesn't quite fit. Like would the vender consider? Like can you pay for the ferry and I would transfer? Or would you consider a transfer a day after the close time? Maybe it's my lack of understanding in how the system behind the website. But in some situations that would be helpful. I would of chosen a different option of car if they had included the ferry and would of hired it for more than the 2 days. Still transfered to the place they wanted within time. Sounds like win win for both.
