Service in Broome was good except they forgot to check the rooftop tent which was loose and in a pretty bad condition. We had to stop in Karratha on the way down as we were loosing the tent driving. I'll give 5 to the guys in Broome because they were nice. Only one for the drop off in Perth as the lady in charge was absolutely rude, non polite, speaking a relative english. I don't know how she can get a job in a service positikn being so rude.

I have used transfercar a number of times over the last 12 years, a great service and option. This time however, and this is not a transfercar issue as such, I found the rental company somewhat less than ideal on its financial expanation side. I dealt with Europcar. At pickup no explanation was given as to Credit Card surcharges, they were just added at return (again with no explanation, only noticing once invoice emailed to me). Similarly when I chose to take up an insurance cover option, no explanation was given that GST would be added to the verbally quoted rate! This is not a huge concern to me from a financial angle, as I was getting a very cheap option for my necessary trip to Christchurch to pick up a private vehicle... but I feel it is deceiving if this is how they treat visitors to NZ given these visitors will not understand the surcharges/GST. Surely better to quote fully and upfront! As such the slightly lower than perfect rating, as I say not a transfercar reflection but if you are aware of this it can be passed onto the rental company.

Just on drop off, we dropped off earlier before the drop off location was open. That has been a week now and we have not had our $500 deposit returned. Other than the email to rate the experience I have had no correspondence and am currently overseas so can't call. I was told the refund would be refunded in 3 to 5 business days i thought.
