The rental car company or transfercar system allowed pick up to be booked for ax time when the rental counter was closed. Was only because I noticed and queried that it was changed. Otherwise I would have turned up to a closed counter and no car available

Some clear instructions would be good on the pick up and drop off. The airport is a big place, in Chc I went to the VIP 'shack'. The lady served me because she wasn't busy and she had the car keys. Otherwise, I would have had to go into the airport and find the Hertz desk, which she informed me I should have done. I returned the car to Queenstown airport that night. Not realising that the bond is not returned until it has been looked over by staff. So as there was no one at the Hertz desk in the airport, I went over to the workshop and found, Natalia there who explained the drop off procedure. So, a little confusion and a little time was wasted. I enjoyed the ride though and the car was clean, tidy and filled with diesel.

I probably missed it, I think it would be awesome to know the car company prior to booking a vehicle would be really helpful, helps with knowing what sort of service and expectation of the vehicle we would be getting.

Not your fault, but we are having trouble with Apollo. They have dishonestly charged our Credit card $1081.74, claiming we were late returning vehicle. In fact, we dropped it off in perfect condition on time, on the 18th. We have witnesses to prove this. Cairns office were totally happy and said they would release our $250 Bond as well. They have accepted their mistake, promising to refund the $1081.74, which still hasn't happened to date. Beware of Apollo !

It is very difficult to contact someone especially when you turn up to pick up the car and you are told the car should never have been made available.
