I have used the service twice in the last year. Last year SNAP gave me a car that they had neglected to put a cap back on the coolant reservoir. The car over heated - luckily I realised something was wrong and immediately stopped. I called and obtained instruction from SNAP then approval from SNAP for a mechanic to get me back on the road. I paid the mechanic and was told by SNAP that I would be immediately reimbursed. I was not. In fact SNAP management tried to place blame on the car. It was a very disappointing experience. I was eventually reimbursed for the mechanic cost but it took time and I was given the run around and it felt very wrong. This year was a different experience with APEX. They made the process easier. The car had no issues. My only criticism is the advice I was given with regards snow chains. I was travelling over the Lindis Pass and asked about conditions and the car I was driving- a 4wd. There was no snow forecast but I don't know the area or conditions. I paid extra for chains. As soon as I set off over the pass it was obvious that no chains were necessary. When I dropped the car in Christchurch I asked about the advice I was given. The person who I spoke to in Christchurch said that the 4wd car I was driving was more than enough for the conditions, and snow chains were not necessary. They said they would email Queenstown on my behalf. I haven't had any reply yet. The 4wd was great, very comfortable, and being diesel - fuel efficient. So my comment about paying for snow chains is only because it seems that was an unnecessary expense - I wish I had been able to obtain better information at the point of pick-up. Having said that APEX were lovely to deal with and very professional and prompt in every regard. I think transfercar is a great concept, and I will continue to use the service and recommend it to others. Ngฤ mihi nui

In general it is such a great option! Deals with some longer options would be even better but that is up to the rental companies I guess. Thanks and Cheers

i can only cancel and rebook if new deals come, is it good to let people down if i am flexiable?
