Not really as this was the 1st time we used it and we have nothing to compare it with. But we plan to use it again in July when we are next in Australia.

Excess reduction maybe, even halving it would be more attractive...given the short time frame of rental the risk is less or maybe even for previous transfer drivers? Just an idea

Allow booking during weekend; provide contact of the rental car as sometimes there will be comments/doubts in the booking - or simply create a direct channel (sort of chat) with them in Transfercar's website. Overall, extremely happy with this service!
