Because transferring the car came at an expense to me. I had to pay for extra gas and I had to pay insurance. You guys should have covered all of that given it was me doing you a favour. I would never do it again nor recommend it to anyone I know.

Not really but would be great if more days to get across large distances 4 days in a campervan from CHCH to Auck... So many will try to stick within the free days or even the short time frame for required drop off, making for dangerous travel... If extra days needed were very cheap at least... Then encourage the extra time when booking..for safety. Only a suggestion... Maybe it is already this way? Haha! I have only used the system twice. The camper I was relocating had a possible head gasket issue so I had to nurse it from Auckland to CHCH replacing water very regularly in order to not cook the motor, it broke down at night right on the white line on a state highway with trucks flying pass, I am a female in my 40s and although a very practical person it was not comfortable or fair to deal with such a nerve racking issue the entire distance, I very aware it is the rental company responsible and I was very nice to them about it haha! But they had no idea what I went through those 4 days, it was just nerve racking and off putting.... I used all the camper water a number of times which was a pain, all the dash lights would start flashing and I'd panic on a highway or hill, anywhere that I couldn't stop, I also felt the pressure to deliver on time but also I needed to get home for my much loved nephews wedding. I couldnt book the cook strait ferry in advance incase the camper didn't make it, I aimed for a 1pm sailing and arrived 20mins after final check in because it over heated on a hill, I had to take it in to a garage to be looked at, I only got on the ferry cause I begged them and it was all just awful and stressful. The dash lights came on half an hour after driving it so the issue was already there. These cars/campers will have things happen that's normal but I think it would be good if they had a check for certain serious possibilities before offered as rental or a relocate. I think maybe it seems tui campers may have a few old vehicles that have issues and they probably just need to up their standard a bit. The pressure test the garage did on the camper was a very easy process and confirmed my suspicions of head gasket straight away. Not a good vehicle to be landed with. Not Transfer cars fault but someone else could blame you. The companies should possibly need to cover a certain mechanical check list? Otherwise!!!! All and all!! I dealt with it I was the right person for the job cause I absolutely nursed it all the way. They were lucky, I believe many would have given up, ignored the flashing lights and not known what to do to get the camper all that way in a no worse state. It was still so damn fantastic!!! And wonderful price, opportunity and great system I can't thank you enough for making a much needed break away possible for me. Warmest regards Chrissy Renwick PS!
