It was a very smooth experience from picking up to dropping off and our trip was amazing....only one thing I can suggest is a quick training on how to use the cruise control on the vehicle I was in but other than that 👍

I think the terms and conditions on your website is very limited and unclear. Example, once a request is approved, it is considered a cancellation when I retract/pull out from my request. Example, the information on your website said no bond or insurance. It essentially implied that I wouldn't have to pay anything other than the $1 admin fee. But when the rental car operator emailed me, he said I have to put in $200 bond. Luckily, this wasn't too much. Had it been a $2000 bond, I wouldn't be so happy. And at this point, had I retracted my request, I would have had to pay a cancellation. In other words, I'm a lawyer and I deal with corporate/commercial matters day in, day out. I would prefer the terms of the arrangement to be clear from the onset before any agreement is to take place. Summary - transfercar was recommended to me and I still think it is an awesome business model. However, I feel there is a high chance of 'hidden fees' that may screw people over.

My previous experiences with myself colleagues have been exemplary in terms of delivering goods in conjunction with complete customer service. My recent, abandonment of the booked tranfercar - rendered me stranded as well as dumbfounded. I have been in a quandry regarding Customer Service I endured whilst being processed at the Hertz Counter. Initial problems that were encountered, were retified to complete the pick-up process. Thereafter, medley of information encumbered the process of pick-up. Suffice to say, in hindsight, a proportion of the incident contributed to an unsatisfactory outcome. Specifically, informing/advising customer an overview of the terms conditions prior to signing or handing over confidential information. Bewildered initially, I left the counter without reasonable explanation, nor alternative solutions to resolve issue. I felt misinformed, or relevant basic information was relayed too late during the procedure. Had i been forearmed to make a decision whether to book the vehicle - the onus was on me. I felt, hijacked and I left feeling that I was incompetent with regards to understanding the terms prescribed in the email. For my own peace of mind to how I may have better conducted a smoother transaction more clarification, I went further to emailing an account of my experience at the Hertz counter, along with the correspondence received from transfercar confirmation email - to a legal minded friend to objectively review. It may be that I totally mis-interpretated the small print requirements/terms and may have made an assumption other than stated. Hence, at this point, until I have clarity regarding this experience - i cannot wholeheartedly endorse a score befitting to my experience.
