It took over two hours at Christchurch to be given my vehicle. No-one got served faster as far as I was aware. Often the vehicles either weren't ready or there weren't staff available to do the handover. The poor workers were going hard out and I felt very sorry for the girl on reception who had the main hard task of telling people the bad news. I don't even think she had had a lunch break and it was 2pm. I couldn't see her getting one. There was nowhere to charge phones either so I couldn't even have google maps or take photos of my trip. If the vehicle is ready but paperwork and orientation needs to be completed I would consider letting people inside their vehicle while they wait and they could make a drink or have a sleep or set their gear up. Apart from that quite big issue you guys rule and I will definitely be doing this again with the year! I'd love to go from Queenstown next time!

Maybe advise rental companies not to give EVs for long distance travel please.. it took me 12hours to get to Auckland
