Better customer service during picking up vehicle. Car is great. Dropping car is also no hassle.

After bringing a car up from a I decided I wanted to take a car from chch to Picton, so I tried to return the car I’d brought from QT early … to enable me to apply for a chch - Picton vehicle. I was unable to do so. Transfercar seems to have no provision for early end to driver plans. Maybe that’s something to consider.

Last time I had free petrol, but this most recent time (same route and company and car) it got taken away. Any idea why? Makes it less appealing

Great concept but some operators very slow to respond and if you are waiting for a reply so you can book other tickets then quicker would be better. Maybe 4 hours not 24 hours for a response!

I was allocated a vehicle from a company that was unreasonable in their expectations of how long it would take to return. e.g. less than 24 hrs to return a 6 berth campervan from Queenstown to Christchurch. Due to the timeframe I was able to discuss with Transfercar and incurred a fee for cancelling. Perhaps a way to discuss particular situations once bookings are made in the future would be helpful?

Return of the deposit could be quicker

Crikey Campers approved the transfer from Broome to Perth, sent the contract, deposit was made and flight was booked. On the Friday afternoon before the Monday pick-up Crikey cancelled the transfer. I was left with out of pocket expenses and also had to contact Crikey Campers to process the refund (which was not done until the Monday- 3 days after the cancellation) The process could be improved by ensuring the vehicle is safe to transfer prior to approving the contract to go ahead. I am sure that I would have been charged a cancellation fee if the roles were reversed and I had cancelled at short notice.

Not really. I have done many relocations for various companies and never had reason to complain. It's a straightforward arrangement and conditions are quite reasonable.

Just remind the rental company that they need to confirm the booking their end as early as possible. I waited 4 days and then contacted them to double check. Other than that - PERFECT!!!
