Advice for remembering Receipts for fuel,is all I can think of?

My car was cancelled without any notification. I had to book a last minute flight to get to my destination. You got 1 point because the trip back was fine.

All roads between my pickup and drop off locations were closed due to flooding (Christchurch to Queenstown) and it was very difficult re-arranging my plans with the rental company as they seemed to think Transfercar had the system to rebook etc.
