I'm a first time user and becoming familiar with the operation is reflected in the rating, most particularly the differece between the advertised insurance cost and that offered by the rental operator and then there was a degree of confusion at the hire care end in respect reimbursement of ferry cost. Niggles but not biggies...

I tried to book a Transfercar over the weekend when the operators were clearly not working so I was rejected until the Monday morning. I think it would be better if that was made more clear on the website. Also a lot of the company’s accept debit card and on Transfercar it says it doesn’t.

Ask to rental operators to put more details regarding excess reduction. Last time I paid almost $100 for 2 days. Would be cheaper renting other car directly with the rental car.
