Yes I recommend Transfer car to my friends. But I can't recommend Apollo. I feel they enter agreements without any expectation of repaying bond or reimbursing fuel to cut their costs. We got to Cairns pickup at 10am as per request. We signed the agreement as per a normal rental agreement, but there were issues, and they were busy. We left in the afternoon way later than we expected. We asked can we bring the camper in later and she said yes we allow all day. When we returned it, after a professional clean and full of fuel, I was abused for not returning the camper before 11. It was around 230 pm. Yet we had called at 10 to say we would have it in between 230 and 3pm. The woman said she would make a note and let the manager know. If Cairns had said it needs to be in at 11 that's what we would have done and would have planned around that, but we were mislead. The guy in Adelaide asked if the bond refund should go on the original credit card and I said yes please, but I note that hasn't been refunded, nor the 150 fuel refunded either. I note that the internet is showing other people caught out as well. I work in the travel industry, and rent vehicles worldwide and feel aggrieved by Apollo. I flew to Australia specifically for this short trip away If Transfercars can look onto this i would be very grateful. Many thanks Peter Maxted

The process was smooth and easy. Instructions were clear. Just for your information there was a pair of men's socks left in the boot. I was not sure how best to be helpful. Should I throw them away or leave them in boot and let you know or leave them in the boot and say nothing. I chose to do the latter. Thank you for the use of the car. It was especially nice to know I was helping your company by taking the car to Picton. Regards Marie

Ensure the car is checked over before passing onto another customer - ie. regardless of whether it is a transfer car, follow your standard process and clean it, check it over. This way any liability falls in the right customer. This was my only and primary concern because the transmission felt a little funny and there were marks on the back seats. Other than that, a great experience.
