The cars are extremely dirty The time to travel from Auckland and Wellington should be rather 5-6 days otherwise I was like a free driver, had to pay for fuel and the ferry (in one direction)... The staf at rent a car Christchurch was very unpleasant. They were looking at me as a stupid niger who is profiting of a very attractive offer which really wasn’t one...

Though I'm not sure that transfercar is at fault, the rental operator (Enterprise) cancelled my confirmed booking with less than 48 hours notice, leaving me with no means of getting from Canberra to Melbourne. Regrettfully therefore I could not recomend transfercar.

The car I picked up was really dirty, to the point I drove with the windows on because of the smell. That was of course down to the rental company Apex. But there is no need to hand over a car so dirty, transfer price or not.
