I can't think of anything to improve on at this stage. I booked, got my car as arranged and drove to my destination without any problems. Very nice car to drive.

While not directly a reflection of Transfercar, I do believe my experience with Lucky Rentals reflects on my perception of my Transfercar experience. I was aware of the poor customer rating that Lucky held, but didn't feel it was made clear in my Transfercar booking process. In the end of my trip, my car key sheared off in the door while simply trying to unlock the door. I had done the same act 100s of times on the trip, and did nothing differently on this attempt, the key simply gave. As a result, and Lucky's poor customer service, I had to pay $360 for a locksmith to drive 4 hours to create a new key for me. We lost half a day of our vacation, and with Lucky Rentals not covering their keys at all, I ended up paying that cost for them to get a new key. I intend to follow up with Lucky this week, but the customer service received in their Auckland office was absolutely embarrassing, and made me 100% certain that I would never drive one of their vehicles again. As a result, anytime I look or recommend a friend to look into TransferCar, I will have to make it explicitly clear for them to be very cautious of booking. We will all have to ensure it is not a lucky rental, because that is a risk that is not worth taking.

I waited for three weeks before I booked my car. Simply because I was waiting for a SUV. Until the last minute the website said 5 vehicles were available. Unfortunately I was given hyundai alantra. It was no way similar to the one I booked. Secondly I was new in Wellington. I had to make seven calls with lond holds from 5.30 pm to 6pm before my call was answered. Your service was awesome but Hertz let me down

I was assigned a car through Thrifty. At check in they charged our bank card $250 as a hold. This was very inconvenient and it did not see to show up on bank statements , so i am not clear on whether it came out or even returned! I feel this wasn't very clear when booking. A friend had booked a couple of weeks earlier and his car went through another company and they did not charge that fee! I understand this is Thriftys procedure but I feel you NEED to explain this in a clear way as this has put me off using transfercar.

The web site would be a great help trying to book the dates available wasn’t that straight forward but other than that everything was perfect.
