Perhaps? I noted that both rental car agnecies I used had a no fault insurance clause, which means that even the common 'no fault' windscreen glass chip could become costly for most transfer renters. Paying the daily insurance rate to reduce excess may be too costly for many considering a transfer car. And not everyone will have a credit card which covers the excess. Even if, then at a zero rental rate the credit card company may decline cover (at least $1 would have to be charged, I understand). Perhaps it is possible to work with the agencies to offer transfer car drivers improved access to insurance cover.

Dear Transfercar, everything was booked. I got to the office at Auckland Airport to collect the camper and it was as though I was hiring the vehicle. The documentation that I had sent through to you had not been received. The license I showed - a Passenger license with my license number and photograph on it was questioned. I emailed my license to them at the front desk and they questioned the validity. When I went back to ask how I could get to the airport they told me I could walk.
