My transfercar "confirmed" booking was canceled by the rental car company 30 minutes before scheduled pick up.
The operator was Europcar and no compensation or alternative options were provided. A shambles !!

Some of the cars particularly motor homes are very hard to get and allow for multiple requests to be made. Would be good to know how these are selected as often I have been first or second to request with +5 available but still not achieved

The whole thing makes a lot of sense and I must say I was surprised it actually worked for us. I like the idea very much. Must admit though that when I came to the counter to pick up the car for relocation, I was told that all the relocations were canceled the day before as the rental company had very few cars in a fleet. I did not receive any call or email so just thanks to that I was given a car according to the reservation. I was told though, that other 7 relocations were canceled, so I was very lucky. I must say it would be a very bad surprise if the relocation was canceled one day before!

Yes, the fact you put your trust in me by approving me with both recent arrangements. 😊 It is a two way street with you helping someone and vice versa by returning any vehicle that needs to be returned. I found all staff friendly and helpful. We had a wonderful experience, thank you so much.

I only have praise for Transfercar itself, it was the fact we were let down badly by the partner rental firm, Europcar, twice that has led to lower ranking.
Seemingly it should be a reasonably firm contract, where currently the renter is potentially penalised for breaking contract... whilst little comeback occurs for the car owner. We suffered large inconvenience when the transfer was canceled, first one with 24 hours notice and second time with 7 hours notice!

You need to be aware when booking, like checking the rental car company will actually honour the offer a tank of gas or extra days are at the price indicated. If you challenge their charges they tend to day we’re fully booked or something like that

When I book with you, I am always worried about a past experience with you: I had a confirmed "accepted" rental canceled by the rental car company using a fabricated reason (specifically, they said I did not contact them as per their terms and conditions - they were closed and could not be contacted). I suspect they got a late full price hire for that one way trip, and wanted to cancel the car they listed on Transfer Car. To get closer to a 10, you need to not list vehicles for that operator. They have the yellow "ONLY TODAY" label. I don't even bother to look at what they have anymore. Every time I see a vehicle listed by them, it reminds me of how unreliable Transfer Car can be.
